Doing can turn into escape, speaking from experience. I found out that in spite of my belief that this was a great way to be, it has consequences…focused activity is critical to sales and life success – until it becomes an addiction to feel like we are never doing enough.

What does ‘DOING VS. BEING’ mean, and how does it keep us from achieving our SELF WORTH?
1. DOING VS. BEING: The over-achievement drug. We can end up feeling that if we do more, we will be happy, or make others happy. We can also get addicted to ‘doingness’ to escape our reality that we are sad about – a job, bad relationship, or habits. People may look at us like we are a workaholic, usually because we are!
How can we achieve SELF CONFIDENCE, and move beyond DOING VS BEING? FOCUS ON BEING VS. DOING – BEING IN THE NOW.
1. BEING IN THE NOW: I often ask ‘how do you quiet your mind?’ Do you allow space and time for peace – time that you have nothing on your agenda? Examples are: yoga, exercise, walking, reading, knitting, massage, meditation, being in nature, or sitting in silence. These moments help us re-charge, let go, and also bring us inspiration and intuition.
(SALES) CONFIDENCE allows us to be content with our own company in silence, without the need to impress anyone.
